SUPERIOR ADHESION FOR PAINTING - Polar Acid Etch Primer creates a durable layer on concrete or stone surfaces that provides superior adhesion for future paint coatings. Etches smooth bare concrete to provide a key for floor paint.
COLOUR CHANGE SYSTEM - Our gel formula is uniquely designed to indicate when acid etching is complete with a substance colour change. Once applied and scrubbed into the surface, the pink solution will froth as it reacts to the alkaline in the concrete. The Acid Etch will stop frothing and become clear - indicating job done.
CLEANS SURFACE - Prepare your concrete and stone surfaces for future coatings. Before application, sweep to remove dust and ensure the surface is clean and fully dry. Polar Acid Etch Primer contains a detergent that dissolves mortar stains, cleans ingrained dirt and removes light oil.
EASY TO APPLY - Recommended to wear full PPE during application; including tough and resistant Wellington Boots. Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Apply evenly to a coverage area of 20㎡ per 5 Litres. Use a stiff broom to harshly scrub the surface area. Leave for a minimum of 15 minutes and watch as the solution reacts and froths, changing colour from pink to clear. Use water and a brush to remove the reacted Acid Etch away. Allow the floor to fully dry before applying paint coating.
INTERIOR & EXTERIOR SURFACES - Polar Acid Etch is the perfect primer for preparing interior & exterior concrete or stone surfaces. For use on indoor or outdoor floors that need sealing and painting.
