Description

LeakSeal Sealant is a non-hardening, gun-applied sealing compound with excellent adhesion to most construction surfaces. It dries by solvent release.

Primarily for providing a durable weatherproof seal between overlapping metallic sheets. Typical applications include sealing between cladding panels, vehicle and caravan body panels, profiled sheet roofing etc. The sealant remains pliable at low temperatures.

After application the exposed surface of the sealant becomes tack-free by solvent loss over the next 24-48 hours, depending on temperature, to produce a tough rubberized plastic seal.

How To Use

Step 1 - Preperation

  • All surfaces must be clean and dry and free from dirt, dust, grease and other contamination.
  • Check the compatibility of the sealant with the surface for staining, adhesion etc.

Step 2 - Application

  • The sealant should be applied by applicator gun, firmly onto the surface to ensure good contact and adhesion.
  • LeakSeal Sealant is plastic in nature and the mechanical performance decreases with increased temperature.
