Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Excellent product. The felt had come away from my shed, and I thought I’d give this a try before messing about stripping the old felt etc.

I didn’t expect the paint to be so thick, but actually that made for a better seal because I painted over the area that was missing the felt (around 20cm square) and then I applied it thicker where the felt had ended/torn… and then along the entire seam where the felt overlaps just in case, and to be sure no rain could enter there either. The instructions say you can use a roller… which I did to save me having to climb onto the shed (small ladder) but it was actually quite difficult to apply the paint to the roller due to the thickness (yes I gave it a decent stir) so I’d suggest using a good paintbrush. I painted the roof around a week ago, just before the storms, so I checked the inside today and the floor has dried up. Top product and I’d say 1 litre would cover a 6×4ft roof easily with some to spare.

Nicely Packaged and Easy to Apply

Had a garage roof where the felt had peel off recently due to the strong winds. Decided to give “Polar Premium Black Instant Waterproof Sealant Paint” ago.

The Arrival:
The product arrived on time! The tin of paint arrived in a, what looked like a custom box for one single tin. The tin of paint had three layers of protection against its opening/moving during transportation. The cover of the tin had two metal clips to keep the cover in place. The tin was then wrapped in a thick plastic bag and the opening zip-tied to prevent (if any) leakage of paint in case the cover popped off during transport. And the box had what looked like custom moulded place holders to prevent movement of the tin during transport.

Application:
On opening the tin of paint, I saw what looked like a thick ‘gloopy’ black liquid, much like black watery mud. But looks are deceiving, the paint was actually very easy to apply. Finished the entire tin of paint in no time. And it does state on the tin, that it covers about an area of 1 square metre. AND gloves are needed whether you are a careful painter of not. And having gloves on, you do not have to worry about getting any paint on the handoff.

5/5
Does what it says on the tin.

The felt on my shed roof had been pierced by a falling branch & the wind had lifted some of the exposed edges thus water was literally dripping through the shed ceiling. I used a brush to paint Polar sealant under & over the exposed felt edges. Although some of the felt was still damp I found that this did not seem to effect the covering of the sealant. The sealant formed a waterproof bond straight away & although it has now almost rained for 3 days solid since I’ve used the product no further water has penetrated the roof.
