Description

Our Masonry Exterior Wall Guard is ideal for protecting and decorating dwellings such as houses, annexes, cottages and commercial properties looking for a pleasing and ecological protective coating.

  • Smooth, high-performance water-based eco-friendly exterior wall coating for a long-lasting decorative finish that also protects and improves insulation.
  • Elastic – waterproof and water vapour permeable.
  • Contains algicide and fungicide.
  • Hard wearing, long lasting, flexible and elastic – waterproof and water vapour permeable.

How To Use

Step 1 – Preparation:

  • It is important that very damp or wet walls are not coated.
  • Building faults that allow moisture to enter walls, e.g. broken rainwater downspouts, guttering and coping stones.etc, should be repaired before coating.
  • Algae or Fungal deposits should first be removed by power washing the surface and then coated with FungiSeal.
  • The substrate to be coated should be sound, free from dirt, grease, oil, dust, chalk and friable material.
  • Hairline cracks can be successfully covered but substantial cracks should be filled with a proprietary sealant.

Step 2 – Application:

  • Exterior Wall Guard can be applied by Brush or Roller.
  • Coverage will be determined by the nature of the substrate, temperature and application method.

Previously Painted Surfaces (Pebble Dash & Rough Cast Renders)

  • As a guide up to 8 square metres/litres per coat.
  • 1 coat may be sufficient but normally 2 coats.

For Smooth Walls

  • As a guide up to 16 square metres/litre per coat.
  • 1 coat may be sufficient but normally 2 coats.

These figures are only an approximate guide and may be reduced. If in doubt, apply a small trial area first.

    Needs a lot of coats on breeze blocks. More than advertised. But have a fully garage interior protected and take Command sticky hooks on and off easily and effectively.

    Not enough. Unlike advertised and advised – one coat is not enough. Garage walls required at least 2 coats for a satisfactory finish. The porous concrete cinder block soaked the first coat. Also at the price – it is comparably expensive that other brands particularly when 2 coats are required. I have used masonary paint from range and you cannot tell the difference – for 1/3rd the price
